~~WINTER~~ ONSLAUGHT IS COMING

So Rikki's coming up on her final story, after which she will be (SPOILER!!!!!) joining Milliways as one of its living dead. Which. She isn't going to be all that happy with in general but is definitely going to go stir-crazy after a while.

So! What I would love to do is have her move to the MCU, if anyone from the MCU would be willing to help facilitate that. She's 17 and extremely self-reliant, they would barely have to know she's there if they don't want. /waves her around enticingly

I am laughing cause you know her three alternate reality dads would be all over this in a heart beat.

I think Steve and Bucky would have more connections than Sam for faking documents though. He could help her find an apartment and cosign?

WELL she can't really stay WITH Bucky cause he's kinda busy hunting down Hydra and I didn't want to presume anything >>

But yeah that would totally help! :D NEVER AGAIN SQUATTING IN AN ABANDONED HOUSE not if she can help it. Plus he can be emotional support. She will need all the emotional support. (I am also planning for her to at least semi-retire from superheroing after this because she'll have been a hero in two different realities who pulled a heroic saving-everyone sacrifice in each of them. Even if she wasn't due for some burnout, she's more than earned the right to go back to being just a teenage girl for a while.)

And you know Sam would call and check in. Everyday until he was sure she was settled and then likely once a week or what ever she was comfortable with.

Unlike other alternate reality super heroes.

Aww Sam. ♥ She would appreciate it! And he can help her adjust to civilian life, he has experience with that! \o/ Cause she spent... three or so years working with/as a superhero, I imagine there'll be some roadbumps trying to get used to normal life again.

Sam would definitely be helpful!

And as for the dancing, it would definitely be a priority. Now I'm half imagining Steve and Sam getting stressed on a mission because they can't be late for Rikki's show!

I really wish I had Avengers 2 Clint in Bar, right now, because he'd just take her home to Laura and be like "can we... keep her??? SHE COULD BE OUR FARM HAND."

(I am kidding, slightly -- I love built millicanon Clint! BUT AVENGERS 2 CLINT IS ADORBS)

Speaking of, if you ever want that Clint for OOMs I am down.

The only real challenge I see is how to overcome the living dead thing so that she can stay longer than 3 days in any outside world without fading! That will take some thought... unless you have already figured it out?

Bucky has no fixed home or apartment to offer (sorry Steve sorry), but would be the most protective uncle EVER. Um. Until dealing with a few other issues he's got going on right now with HYDRA et al, anyway.

But he'd be fully supportive and do sneaky things to check up on Rikki's safety and set up some kind of financial support for her with stolen black ops funds and really I guess he's not the best role model but he's beyond loyal to those who he cares about ...

(Also stubborn about his own safety/danger to others, um, Steve I'm sorry, did I mention I'm sorry? *sheepish*)

oh jeez, I hadn't really remembered about that. :|a Well, the way she dies is kind of a clusterfuck but basically Onslaught uses her as a conduit to get into the 616 universe through. So there's a period where they're both pretty much solid energy bullshit and the home team basically end up scattering both her and Onslaught so they can't put themselves back together. *DEEP BREATH* So I guess technically what the Bar needs to do is... reconstitute her? Pretty much? So maybe the rules won't apply the same.

oh man it is going to be beautiful to people she meets in MCU. like Rikki how do you know Captain America?? why is there a terrifying uncle giving you dubiously-ethical money and protecting you from the shadows???

and yis Rikki should just meet Clint in general. I'm not sure if she'd know him from her home universe, cause technically Hawkeye there was Wolverine (NO REALLY) but there's no reason he couldn't have just been a SHIELD agent or worked under another name.

I'd say it could be worse, but that kinda requires comparison to the Pitt or maybe an alternate timeline with Apocalypse running things?

I'm trying to figure out how much I can offer given that a) Thor's met her all of like twice, even if he liked her, and b) Asgardians are definitely not immune to death in the MCU and c) Thor has a certain respect for honorable death in sacrificial battle that means his first reaction is going to be more WELL DONE, YOUNG WARRIOR, YOU DEFINITELY ARE WORTHY OF VALHALLA YEP than THAT'S HORRIBLE YOU'RE TOO YOUNG TO DIE CAN WE UNDO IT.

But. It's possible that Asgardian handwavy magic/science stuff can be applied in some way to help counteract the scattered solid energy bullshit factor? Possibly? If you think that seems like a useful plot device, let's talk and see what we can figure out!

Sounds doable! With how my schedule is going, it might be best as a slowtime NotOOM? Like them catting in a booth but not as an EP? UNless you feel like Alex wants an EP soon and I could tag Sam there?

I swear I'm not avoiding folks, I just don't have the attention span for lots of threads right now. =)

Steve will always offer a Barnes a place to stay :).

I've also got the Vision--I've been reading up on his powers in the comics to see if he could do something to help her. I haven't found anything yet but I'll keep looking if you need it.
