That would probably be the best way to go in order for Steve, Bucky and Peggy to be more than just a flashback. = ]

I'm imagining a few camps:
P.I.s
Government Agents (Either working to stop Nazi/HYDRA spies pre-WW2 or working to take down gangsters ala Eliot Ness)
Gansters

I think Sam would be a PI that gets pulled into something bigger than he imagined.

Or Sam could be a barnstormer who moonlights as a PI.

I'm kind of rotten at coordinating with big groups, but sure if anyone else wants to join in! I just might be flakey or goofy.

I think those who want to participate being in the same AU is the intention, rather than a big plot. I don't think the logistics would be possible for a big group, really.

But a bunch of guys and dolls sounds like fun to me.

Agreed. My take is that if you want to have a big plot, you can but it's more of a "the world shifted" kind of thing. So May and Sam for example could be working on the case of the waved hand, while Steve and Bucky are dealing with the Italian mob trying to muscle in on the neighborhood.

We all, in theory, just share the world and don't have to share the story.

[BTW: I am about to run to the gym but hopefully will be able to do some tagging with Sam here in an hour and a half or so.]

Yeah, exactly. The thought of trying to do a big plot makes my eyes cross, personally, but a bunch of us being from the same AU? I can do that.

I'm also no good at noir style, so I'll probably end up tossing Thor into the DC/Marvel/etc superhero mashup AU Debi was suggesting over in the other post. But if anybody wants to know (or know of) noir!Thor back home, I am totally fine with that. (Mayor Odinson's golden boy, playboy and athlete and as a poor second a businessman, while the dark family secret is his younger brother's seedy adventures putting hiw own sharp business acumen to use in building a mafia empire?)
