Steve is still between Winter Soldier and Age of Ultron, largely because I have no enthusiasm for Age of Ultron. He'll probably go through it off-stage.

To expand a bit on Sam's answer, he's pre-AoU but I am willing to move forward when Steve is. No pressure! I just feel Sam should be close to Steve. I'd be willing to OOM thread ahead of Sam's present if anyone wants. I'll likely hand wave Ant Man and AoU to be honest.

Also I'm playing Danny Rand now, from Netflix Iron Fist/Defenders. He's pre-show, on his way to NYC. I'm not sure if his canon is MCU or not. I've seen arguments for both and I've got a question to his only other canon mate at present. Will update.

I'm not planning to do a whole lot with AoU either. I'm thinking one OOM and moving on to CACW since that's much more interesting to me at this point.

Hey-oh, friend! I have been meaning to touch base with you to see if you'd ever like a Claire for Danny's OOMs, and this post has made me realize I've yet to do just that.

While Bat and I are getting Matt and Claire through season one of Daredevil, I am more than happy to provide an Iron Fist-timeline Claire if (and/or when) you need or want her for any kind of canon shenanigans. :D?

I've been keeping Danny pre-canon and on his way to NYC until Defenders came out and I watched it, just so I'd know where things stood with Danny and Matt. I'm up to ep05 now and so can move Danny into actual canon.

I am officially loving Claire's Angels, aka The Defenders. I feel like 04 and 05 were the best so far.

And it occurs to me to add that Danny at this point is learning of the Incident from old news and rumor in the Middle East. Having been in K'un Lun the past 15 years, he missed first hand experience.

I figure he did know of Captain America as a historical figure and maybe heard of Iron Man before the crash. I'm assuming Hulk either didn't get much press or Danny's parents hide the stories from him.

Now I'm wondering in Randal had any dealings with Stark before the crash.

Loki is between Thor and Avengers. There's not much in canon to specify what exactly he's doing, so I've said that for a while he was just floating around in a wormhole and now he's on some nameless planet, but he hasn't met up with the Chitauri.

I need to catch up with Thor-mun to coordinate. I'm open to moving Loki ahead in canon; I'm also open to veering off-canon if things develop that way in Milliways and it interests me. If there's one thing Marvel Loki likes, it's messing around with ridiculous timeline and AU nonsense.

Anyway, yes, Thor is still hanging out between Thor and Avengers, dealing with unspecific Asgardian political (and emotional) fallout from that whole Loki thing and Bifrost thing and so forth. But I think our plan is to move forward through Avengers before long, whether a strictly canonical one or a slightly altered one? And then after that they'll probably hang out post-Avengers for a while, but I'm potentially open to veering off-canon too, depending how things develop.

Banner is pre-Avengers, as discussed with Jane in the DE today, I should really think about moving him up. Especially with Thor: Ragnarok on the near horizon. :D

Though even as I type that, I'm like...need to check where Thor is before that's even a thing, so nvm.

Thor is currently also pre-Avengers! Though he may get moved up soonish to post-Avengers.

After that, I don't know how rapidly I'll shift him up towards Ragnarok, especially since what with Milliways and all I'm not yet sure how strictly we'll hew to post-Avengers canon. But I will say that I'm open to them being in slightly different one-step-to-the-side AUs from each other so we can be freer about moving through canon at our own paces and in our own ways, if that seems convenient to you too -- it's what I generally assume for Thor with other MCU characters anyway, if we haven't specifically discussed otherwise. So even if Thor is still earlier in canon than where Banner ends up, I'm totally happy to give you an in-canon Thor for OOMs if at any point you want him.

Oh, yeah, I don't think any of us expect to be exactly in the same place in canon or even exactly in the same canon. This is more for OOC knowledge and planning entries/OOMs, if people want to.

Bucky is wandering the world pre-Civil War, engaging in his own personal mission and dodging pursuit.

Dodging pursuit will grow more difficult as CW approaches, for obvious reasons.

Since he's in the same timeline as Steve, I've not mentioned Age of Ultron for him, deliberately. He can easily react to it as a "news happened WTF" sort of thing after the fact. :)

"News happened WTF" seems to be everybody's reaction to AoU.

What I'm thinking with AoU is to cover the whole thing in one OOM and then move on to something more interesting ;).

Before I forget to answer yet again (although Matt being on the periphery of everything I don't think he affects much), Matt is from Daredevil season 1, so post Winter Solder and before Age of Ultron?

The only thing so far to have a direct bearing on him is The Avengers (aka "The Incident") so he's aware of the first group of Avengers as much as would be gleaned from the news, and would recognize them, but the rest... *hand wobbles*

Obviously the hellicarrier Hydra/SHIELD thing should've been some kinda news, but it's never addressed so... *HANDS*

Right now I'm working him through the first season of canon, but I do not object to getting him involved in bigger things later on (especially if the MCU itself isn't going to do it, jury still seems out on that *sighs*).

His comicbook counterpart proves that DD can run with the big dogs sometimes and play in other people's backyards, so I'd like to do that with my Matty eventually.

I am for Matt/the Defenders getting involved in bigger things :). The way I see it, canon is a starting point that we can touch on when we want to/need to, but shouldn't place a limit on the way we play in-game.

He is currently between Avengers and Winter Soldier. If I have the time I'll bump him up to after Winter Soldier sometime, and then lurk nebulously in the timeline thereafter.

Hi, y'all!

Like Matt, Claire is from the first season of Daredevil — she's currently sitting within the fifth episode ("World on Fire," for those of you keeping score at home).

Having lived through the Battle of New York, she's aware of the Avengers via all the media coverage of the Incident, but recognition is really the extent of her ~involvement~ on that front.

(And thanks so much for this post! It has reminded me that I need to check in with Don re: Iron Fist. ♥!)
