Hallo all! I know we talked about this briefly in the LJ comm (mostly to grumble about it), but do we intend to do anything in-bar with the Avengers Versus X-men thing? I'd like to pick up the books if that's our intention, so I'll have the references needed at the end, but otherwise. . . eh, not so much.

Heck, do we even have any Avengers? Or X-men, for that matter?

Yeah, but I'll probably buy the graphic novels in a couple years. I know myself.

I kind of wish this was anyone else versus the Avengers, though. I don't like epic crossovers, and X-men and Deadpool Max are all I read, now.

[Mun says I'm am really on the fence about cross-overs after all the *&%@* they pulled on my big orange lug and this one just seems another excuse to have heroes fighting heroes.

That being said, I'd be happy to play along if we want to run it.]

Oh and I think the basic gist is that the Phoenix Force is seen heading to Earth and of course that means those untrustworthy mutants are going to try and use it or something.

Because Marvel Earth is short of people who will try and eat energy fields bigger than their heads.

Yeah, that's right. The X-men have been butting heads with the Avengers so much recently, I can't keep it straight.

If X-Factor gets involved I'll be happy to have Lorna play it through, but I doubt Domino and Belle will get in on the action in canon.

Well Children's Crusade was like the Prologue. In fact if memory serves, AvX spins right out of Children's Crusade which is weird as it featured Dr. Doom heavily but according to the current story arc in F4/FF, Doom has been taken out by the mad Celestials. So does the F4/FF story arc War of the Four cities happen before or after Children's Crusade?

Yet another reason I'm staying away from cross-overs, trying to mesh time lines is *hard*.

FF makes no sense when taken in with the rest of the Marvel universe. I generally ignore it. Obviously, you don't have that luxury with Ben.

Do we want to play it out? Cable will be in it prominently, apparently. Because he hasn't had his fill of crossovers, yet.

This is the reason Cable exists. To make big overblown things even bigger and more overblown.

I think he is as the whole thing spins out of X-sanction and Children's Crusade if the hype is to be believed.

I don't know, I'm likely to follow it from scans_daily and see if it's worth my $4 first.

I hope for sure to see what happens, before buying it.
