So a thought occurred to me that I feel is worth bringing up and that is how we as muns want our pups exposed to other Marvel continuities. I know Ben already stepped in this big time with the MCU's Steve Rogers but we are hand waving he never mentioned his Captain America.

With at least two movie universes (MCU - Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Captain America and Avengers, not to mention the other movies coming in the next few years + Fox MCU - Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, X-Men, Ghost Rider, Punisher and Daredevil/Electra (which all seem to be in their own continuity, though X-Men and Fantastic Four might be in the same as a folder with Franklin Richards was seen on Stryker's desk in X-Men2), all the comics and the animated shows, the risk of cross over is pretty high. This can be really disconcerting for those canons with little exposure to other worlds (like the different movie-verses, aren't they so cute?).

So how about we tag in with what level of "Hey, I know you! We're old buddies...no wait, you aren't the gal I know are you? Opps, my bad" you are comfortable with.

Also, mostly for the comic pups, but I won't say no to other canons, Ben Grimm will be spending some time human next month. If anyone would like to show him a good time in Bar or in OOM land, I'm all for it.

Additionally, I'm planning some covert fun with Jessica Drew and preliminary details are here.

Insofar as Bucky goes, he's already been exposed to the idea of different Marvel universes through discussions with Noriko and X-23 (who in-bar he has learned exist in each others' worlds but whose worlds are not the same). It took him a while to get his head around the idea, but he rolled with it pretty well.

Regarding his OWN canon: ha. Ha, ha ha. The way this is working right now is that he's aware of the Captain America comics shown in the movie (Steve told him about them), and we've basically stamped the Golden/Silver era Marvel comics as the print run that we see starting in Captain America, movie version. The 4 (I think) people who have recognized HIM from them in-bar -- he's only aware that ONE of them did, and he thinks it's from "Steve's comics." So that's basically how he'd think of anyone else recognizing him - er, how Bucky would; the Winter Soldier is something else again, and would play it off as "I don't know who this Bucky guy is, but they say everyone's got a twin somewhere, right?" And then do whatever he could to avoid breaking cover. In short, recognition is fine - the above is how the character will react to it.

Which, on that note - given that I'm not planning to wait until 4 April 2014 to play him again, I am intending to draw directly from Bucky's comics canon to inform in-bar development, but am also hoping to do so in a vague enough way that I can incorporate it seamlessly with whatever the next film gives us. (Since Brubaker's involved, I am hopeful of being able to accomplish that!)

So ... yeah. That's my considerably-more-than-two-cents' worth.
