Movie-verse check-in!

So I noticed that we've had a little bit of an AVENGERS EXPLOSION lately, and I thought it might be helpful to have a check-in about where in canon everyone's coming from and what general feelings are! I've talked to several of y'all separately, but honestly there are so many characters now in or about to be apped from the recent Marvel movies that I can't quite keep everybody straight.

HELLO, I am Lexie (sotto_voice) and I play Tony. He and Pepper are currently in from a few months before the first Iron Man movie. For the moment, at least until he's publicly Iron Man (and I'll reevaluate once that point is hit!), I'd prefer to keep him separate from other Avengers and Avenger-affiliated folks; anyone who's going to have an idea of who he is and what goes on. ALL BETS ARE OFF after that, though, and I'm beyond stoked about playing with y'all! Come chat in the comments?? #superorganizedandshit

HI. I'M RUE. That's delight for those who don't know me and I actually think nowadays that's a lot of people. Hi people I don't know!

I have Sif here who is post-Thor, and am also bringing in Natasha Romanoff (queenofthedead) this app cycle. I haven't actually decided on her canon point, and was kind of leaving it up to if Carly and Lexie wanted to play through Iron Man 2 honestly! Though, either way, I can still OOM her as past!her if I decide to canon bump her.

Same with how Sif here might get to appear in Thor OOMs if Thor-mun wants to go for that, but bar!Sif is going to remain post-movie.

Helloooooo, I'm Hans and I live at tiltingheartand when I'm not this dude. I am undecided (much like Rue) as to where he's coming from, at this point, although the thought of bringing him in post-Avengers and still being able to OOM from ~the past~ seems wise.

My general feelings are OMG SO EXCITE. The end.

I'm Kate (ceitfianna) and I play Charles Xavier from X-Men: First Class and he's currently in the early part of his canon. In terms of X-Men, he's a movieverse with hints but one thing I'm wondering about is how do we as movieverse want to think about any sort of shared universe if at all.

I personally love the idea of the X-Men kind of around if not interacting so that Charles knows Starks but as he's earlier in time Howard or knows of Captain America.

This hasn't really come up too much in threads but I'd love to get thoughts on this as we do have this post. Thank you.

My personal immediate thought (and bearing in mind that I haven't actually seen XMFC or any of the X-Men movies since the first one) is that the two canons probably aren't linked; it seems like you'd hear a whole lot more about mutants and such in the recent string of Marvel movies, if they were? My canon knowledge is deeply shaky, though, and I'm interested to hear what other folks think!

So I am one of at least two mun's with plans to App Coulson here. My plans for Coulson will be pre-Thor so I can play with the two shorts. I can have him learn the time differences and then clue in quickly about Pepper and Tony being earlier in time to avoid things.

And then I do have plans for post-Avegners but I don't think Fi has seen the movie so let's not spoil things okay?

Loki here is in the process of falling off the Bifrost, so, the end of Thor. (Same as Sif.)

And, similarly, happy to have him OOM pre- or mid-canon for Thor, any time!

I am totally psyched for the idea of working our way through Avengers so that we can FIX ALL THE $SPOILERS.

Hello! I am Gen (genarti), and I am apping Thor. :D

I'm bringing him in first from very early in the Thor movie. I'll be playing him through canon at... some pace... that will basically depend on how much RP energy I have, and whether that involves threads or just ficstyle stuff will depend on how we feel like playing it at the time. (I am always up for threads but rarely up for a lot of cat-herding because I'm lazy and distractable, is my general vote there.) And then I will probably have him hang out nebulously post-movie for a while, until we get some more sequels and can figure out where things are going!

That said, I am TOTALLY 100% UP FOR playing Thor in Avengers OOMs with anyone who might want! I don't currently plan to bring him into the bar from the Avengers movie timeline until I have more to go on than that ending, but I'm totally good with playing him in OOMs at a later canon point than he is in Milliways.

In terms of meeting other Avengers -- basically, talk to me when/if you want to! I'm totally good with it if it won't joss later movie events. I suspect some meet-ups will be workable, and some won't be for a while.

I'm James (jjprobert) and, yeah, I am a second Hawkeye potential. As I said to Hans, though, if there's already been plotting/planning etc, I'm happy to step away.

I've not really thought about where to bring him in from, but I'd certainly be willing to provide him for appropriate flashbacks/moments of canon (xref: Thor). Also, there is so much potentially undisclosed background for the character, that Natasha/Clint threads (either in ooms, or in bar or both) and developing things AU that way if we don't get moar in time works for me.

Also, playing through Avengers as/when appropriate, sounds like an epicly awesome plan.

Helloooooo long time no see! I'm Bethan, aka splash_of_blue, and I'm the other potential Coulson - although I also still run Molly Hayes (cute_bruiser). The unholy amount of fun I've been having with the Son of Coul so far is basically solely responsible for getting me back into RPing, so depending on how it goes I might be sending in a Northstar at a later date as well.

I plan on starting him from Iron Man and working through Marvelmovieverse from there, although given my work schedule I'm unlikely to do any OOMs. (Although if people want a Guest Coulson in their own OOMs, I'll be on it like hot cakes).

But! Her default reaction to finding out that someone is fighting villains in a world much like hers is going to be a desire to pool information and cheat heavily. Because if the multiverse was actually going to be damaged by something like that we would have all stopped existing years ago in the future. (Time travel tenses... are not really her thing. So it goes.)

He's probably not got a chance to come in (unless, like, with Thor), until he gets to post Thor movie, which seriously guys, threading ooms ftw, in my opinion.

Mainly because, knowing and having seen an Einstein-Rosen bridge in action before then, kinda kills some of the early tensions between him and Jane.
